Last night while out walking the dog through my usual spot of Tollymore I managed to photograph what I found out later to be Ireland most elusive wild animal in Ireland, The Pine Marten. Luckily I had the 600mm lens with for it ran off in a hurry as soon as it seen me and the dog. This is the first time I have ever seen a Pine Marten in my life and hopefully not the last! I also spotted a Red Squirrel which may be a good sign as the Pine Marten is said to be good for the Red Squirrel population.
